ABOUT THE PROGRAM

Mangrove Impact Fellowship (MIF) is an international volunteering program designed to connect global participants with Indonesia’s frontline mangrove conservation efforts.

This program combines environmental education, field immersion, and hands-on conservation actions, empowering participants to understand mangrove ecosystems not only as forests—but as solutions for climate resilience, coastal protection, and community livelihoods.

Program Timeline

  • Online Preparation: 1–9 February
  • On-site Activities: 10–12 February
  • Post-Program (Online): Reflection & Outputs

PROGRAM STRUCTURE

Online Phase

  • Orientation & cultural exchange
  • Interactive discussions on mangrove conservation
  • Case studies and global perspectives

On-site Phase (Indonesia)

  • Mangrove ecosystem tour
  • Conservation education in the field
  • Seedling preparation & planting
  • Monitoring and basic data collection
  • Community-based conservation experience

WHO CAN APPLY

  • 18–35 years old
  • Open to all nationalities
  • Able to commit to the full program timeline
  • Strong interest in environmental or social impact
